March Challenges

I’m not real good at long challenges. But this year I thought I’d see if I could awaken my art muse with this first one.

This is a 100-day Creative Challenge with NanetteSewz.com. I took an online class, “Photo to Applique,” from Nanette awhile back. Here is my post about her class and my project. There are no rules and no check ins, but just do something for 15 minutes every day starting March 3. She also has a Facebook page if you’d like to follow her there.

I’ve decided to work on some applique and use some of my scraps. I look forward to showinig you my progress. To get ready for the challenge, I looked for inspiration on Pinterest, and printed out some art I love.

Then it was off to the scrap bag, where I picked out some goodies to use.

So I’m ready to play.

The other challenge is the Ancestral Women Challenge is on Substack. Every day in March we will be posting one of our women ancestors.

If you have any interest in genealogy, check out Substack. We have a large group of friendly and knowledgeable genealogists from beginners to experts. Did I tell you that it’s free?

That’s what I’ll be doing this month. Hope you are having a good day! Would love for you to join me in either of these challenges.
